Ballet and Basketball

Last week was such a fun week!!!
MG, Lola and Paige at Ballet class.

MG and Mike in the backyard.

First of all, on Monday Mommy and Daddy came to my ballet class for my recital! Recital is just a fancy word for "the parents get to come in and watch class!" I loved showing them everything I've learned over the past few months. We did our "tap walks" across the floor all by ourselves and I got a little fancy with mine. Watch the movie clip below.

Lady and Poppie met us for dinner after my "recital"- we got to go to my favorite Hamburger joint for a cheeseburger and a chocolate milkshake. They bought me roses..... red roses.....they were beautiful!

Then on Thursday, my Daddy taught me how to shoot a basket! Watch the movie clip below!

I think I am going to be a ballet dancer and a girl basketball player when I grow up! Mommy says I can be ANYTHING I want to be! I asked her if I could be a mommy and that made her have some happy tears!

My Date with Daddy!

My Daddy is the most funnest Daddy in the whole world! We went on a Daddy/Daughter date on Friday night to watch the Dallas Maverick's practice. We ate popcorn and cotton candy!!!!

Daddy wanted to take me to the team shop. I told him "But Daaaaaddddddyyyy, we don't want to miss the GAME!" He drug me away from Dirk and the boys and bought me a new, pink Dallas Mavericks t-shirt. I can't wait to wear it to a REAL LIFE game!

Jake and Mommy had to stay home because this was MY special day with Daddy! (And because Jake's bedtime is 7pm)

I love being a BIG GIRL and staying up late!

Oh The Lord's Been Good To Me

"Oh The Lord's Been Good To Me, and so I thank the Lord.... for giving me, the things I need, the sun and the rain and the apple seed. The Lord's been good to me. " These are the lyrics to my new, favorite song. I sing it multiple times everyday. I sang it before dinner the other night and Lady cried. My mommy said those were happy tears, not sad tears.

Things I Love
I love school! I already knew how to write a "M" and an "A", but today I learned my "Y" and I am EXCITED!!! "R's" are still pretty hard but all in all I can write "MARY" pretty well. (I know you guys are thinking- wow, just learning to write "MARY" but blogging regularly for the past few months- well I'm gifted and typing just comes easier to me!)

I also love Ballet!

And TAP!!!!

I love hanging out with Pheobe and Jake!

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my Daddy!

I love my Mommy!
I love the Lord!
Mommy was reading to me from my little pink Bible last night and we were reading about Jesus and John. I said "I know someone named John! Uncle John! He is pretty nice and he believes in Jesus too!"

My First Day of Pre-K

Hey guys, I had my first day of Pre-K. It was pretty fun. On the first day I got to help with the calendar and I learned a song about the days of the week. We have a fish in our classroom named Nemo and someday soon I will be the fish helper. I can't wait to feed Nemo- that is probably the most fun job!

Mrs. Elsik taught us some of the rules like- no throwing toys and love one another. I told Mrs. Elsik that if I do something really, really bad at home I get a spanking with the spanking spoon. Mom says she hopes Mrs. Elsik doesn't call CPS..... I don't know what that means but mommy looked a little scared when I told her.

I think Mommy and Baby Jake miss me while I am at school. They are so excited to see me when I get home. Jake brings me "pink gum" when he picks me up from school. He can't wait until he is as big as me so he can go to school also.

That is it for now, gotta pick out my dress for my third day of pre-K!

Road Trip

I just got back from a road trip from Indianapolis to watch my Daddy play ball there. We had a great time and got to stay in a hotel. Mommy and I pretended we were at a beauty spa and put on blue face masks and curlers in our hair, just like Fancy Nancy. I also got to sleep on a "princess bed"- that's a fancy way of saying "fold out couch in the hotel room. " We went to Daddy's games and I got some cotton candy- yum, yum, yum! Mommy, Daddy, Jake and I went to the Indianapolis Children's Museum. It was sooooo much fun! Jake and I started to get tired and Mommy had to tell Daddy it was time to go- he was having tooooo much fun coloring the dinosaurs. But I have to say the BEST part of the trip was coming HOME. Not "home, home" just "home." That is MY fancy way of saying "Apartment in Columbus, OH!"

My First Blog

Hi guys! I am in Ohio with my Mommy, Daddy and baby brother (Jake.) We live in an apartment which I call "home." "Home, Home" is our house in Dallas. We just visited "home, home" in June and I had fun with all my friends, Will, Pheobe, Ella, Baby Brooke and my best friend Allie. I am going to marry Will one day- probably when I am 7 or something! I had a hard time last time I was in Ohio and I told Allie that we should "escape from Ohio" but then I met my friends Tyler and Dylan and things got better. I love going to my Daddy's baseball games- especially when I get to go to the bounce house and the playroom. Mom said we are going on a road trip to Indianapolis in a few days so I am excited. I love Jake but he doesn't play with me yet, he just sleeps and kicks his arms and legs around. Well, Mom says it is nap time so I am going to lay down and read some of the books I checked out from the library. Will blog later!
